The global food system is broken — it’s wasteful, unsustainable and unhealthy. MATR set out to change that by developing a new kind of plant-based food. One that upcycles surplus vegetables and grains, then adds spores and fermentation to let nature do the rest. The ambition was big, the idea bold. But how do you build a brand that’s as unfamiliar as it is groundbreaking?

The solution

Fireball helped invent MATR from the ground up — name, identity, and design. The visual universe is built on graphic illustrations of imperfect vegetables and natural forms, reflecting the beauty in what’s often discarded. Like the product itself, the brand is organic, unexpected and full of character. A unique and appetizing identity for a future-facing food revolution.
